Controller lag / Camera

Hi guys,

When my playstation Camera is plug in I notice a lag / controller input not working if the camera can't see the light bar.

I tried unplugging the camera and the controller works fine all the time.

Is this normal?

I have a white PS4 (destiny) edition.

Let me know if there is anything I can do for this.
