I have a slim model PS3. I have it connected to my 1080p tv via HDMI cable, and connected by wire to my router. I have a 50 mbps Internet connection. When attempting to stream video from any streaming app (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video), my PS3 frequently pauses to buffer, and displays "low bandwidth" messages. None of the other devices (an Xbox 360 and two different PCs) that I use for streaming ever have any problems streaming continuously from any site. The problem only occurs when using the PS3. This is the first time that I've ever tried to stream video with it, so I do know if the machine has ever *not* done this. It has always been very slow when accessing the Playstation Store, hanging for long periods of time and generally taking several seconds to do anything at all, but it has done that for the entire 3 years or so that I've owned it, and I always just kind of assumed that maybe the Playstation Store app just *was* really slow.
Is there anything that anybody knows of that I can do to try to get my PS3 streaming up to snuff? I'd really like to be able to use it to stream to this TV, so that I can have my other devices elsewhere in the house, but I also don't wnat to put up with a "loading" circle popping up every twenty seconds while I'm trying to watch anything.
