My PS4 has been acting up for the past month now. It started with my games randomly crashing, which is kinda normal, but when I restarted the game it said the data was corrupt. From there it told to delete the game data and redownload it. I did this thinking it was just a random problem. It happened to another game, so I knew something was wrong. About a day later when in turned on my ps4, it started up in safe mode telling me that my software was outdated and that I needed to plug in a USB containing software 3.1.5 or high. I tried this many times with two different USB's. It kept giving me different errors like cannot detect USB, cannot find the file, or cannot use the file. After the error, it would just restart saying the software was outdated. I unplugged the PS4 while it was restarting. The next time I started it up it worked. It continued to crash and made some games unplayable. I finally, completely initialized my PS4 as a last ditch effort. This worked for about at week and it's starting to happen again. Is it time for a new PS4?
