Hello, everyone. I recently swapped out my standard 500GB HDD for a 1tb hdd, under the assumption that I could use the old HDD for my old games and the new HDD for new games. To my surprise, the PS4 wants to format the original drive when I put it back into my system. Now, my saves are mostly backed up onto the cloud, and I can download most of my old content.
The main problem is: I had the Silent Hills PT on that old drive, and (as everyone is probaby aware by now) it cannot be re-downloaded. I have not formatted the old drive, so the files are still technically on there, I just can't access them by conventional means anymore. Is there any way that I could 1) Extract the application data from the old HDD somehow? 2) Have my PS4 read the old drive, at least long enough for me to copy the data to my flash drive? 3) Any other way of getting the application back?
I recognize that this is a burned out issue, but I really don't want to lose PT, and I know there are plenty more tech-savvy folks out there than myself. Thanks, guys!
