PS4 button remapping work with Vita?

I want to know if the feature on ps4 to change button mappings works with Vita while in remote play.
I want to change R2/L2 to R1/L1.
This way some games would be more playable.
Like wwe 2k16, which uses touchpad for reversals is a pain to time.

Has anyone done this while in remote play?
I want to know if the controller mappings work with vita or if they don't change at all.
