French PS4 doesn't work in the US ?

Hi everybody,

I own a French PS4. I just moved in in LA and i tried to plug my PS4 in with a normal adaptator but it doesn't seem to work. I just have a blue line on the top of the PS4 (Blue Light of Death ?).

Do I just need to buy an electric transformator (220 V - 110 V) ? Can't I use my PS4 here in the US ?
