No sound on ps4 and won't load dvds

I have recently been having issues with the sound on my ps4. No sound comes through the hdmi cable so I switched to optical which worked for a while and now that's gone aswell!! The sound still comes through my headset but not my TV. I have checked my headset is off and still no joy...

On top of that I'm now not able to watch dvds I just get a loading icon continuously!!

Is this repairable or is it a case of chuck in the river!!!
