Okay so i just got my PS3 Pre-Owned from gamestop.com i got it plugged it up and the AV cables that came with it work just fine, however when i tried to plug in my HDMI from my PS4 to my PS3 it didn't work. I tried the whole hold down the button to reset the settings for the HDMI several times with no succes, i bought new HDMI cables to test it and it didnt work( did all steps i tried before with the ps4 cables but no succes again). Then i tried holding it down till i heard the 2 quick beeps then i pressed the 3rd option to reset everything but would hold the data from saved games and such even though i had no save data.
i have tried to do it manuelly and going into the display settings with the regular AV cables and changing it to HDMI all it gave me was a "No Signal" i know some people just had a black screen but mine was not even getting to that. I have tried updating and no success either. i have tried this on 2 different Samsung tvs both being 720P+ capable. this is the FAT PS3 i think it was the 1st gen of the ps3s maybe that is the problem but i knew i was atleast going encounter some problems later on down the road since it was a pretty old ps3 but not right off the bat.
