Playstation and PS3 game files?

On my PS3 under the Game section I have 2 files "Playstation 3" and "Playstation"  they of course hold my downloaded PS1 and PS3 games/demos. A friend just got connected to the internet and has started downloading games. She has only downloaded a couple so far but does not have the files, they just appear in the Games list. Do you get this file after so many games or is there a way to add them. I can not remember not having them so can't recall when they appeared on mine. Thanks.
