So I've only ever owned one single PS4 my entire life thus far. It was a refurbished PS4 I purchased through Amazon.com and I've been happy with it. Unfortunately due to a power shortage the data on it was corrupted and I had to initiate a restore.
Now I tried Activating this PS4 (to use some services offline) but it says "You have already activated another system as your primary PS4 with your account." I have not done this. I had activated this same PS4 once before, but now after the restore it's acting like this is an entirely new PS4. So I try to deactivate through the website and it tells me to deactivate on my PS4, but the deactivate function is greyed out.
I used the online deactivate form through the support site and entered my serial number and account I for and I received an email saying that all systems have been deactivated from my account, but when I click the Activate function on my PS4, I get the same error message I've always received when attempting.
This is very frustrating and I don't understand why these activation functions aren't tied to a serial number or something so it would be obvious that it's the same system/console.
Anyway, I attempted to utilize the Support form to deactivate once again, so hopefully that helps...
