Headset Audio on PS4 not working properly (Stealth 500p)

Hey, I've been having some problems with the 500p headsets I got for my ps4. The problem I'm having is that when I have the audio settings on my ps4 set to "All Audio," the sound of the game and chat sound the same as usual (normal) BUT the chat and game audio are on the same volume control and not separate. When I change the audio setting to "Chat Audio," I can change the volume of the chat and game separately, BUT the game audio sounds different, the best way I can describe the sound is that it is more "hollow" or deep or flat. Is the audio supposed to sound "hollow" when set to "Chat Audio?" is there a way to fix this?
