PS3 Turtlebeach Seven Series/XP 500 Headset

Hello everyone!

Recently started playing black ops 1 on my ps3! But when i plug in my xp500 headset it shows my microphone icon as constantly up.... Tried turtlebeach support but lets be honest, doubt i would get anywhere so i thought id ask the community here if they have the same issue

Also my ps3 wont pick up my seven series headset in accessories but will give let me hear game chat but no mic.... Works on everything else.
