I bought a new PS4 from Best Buy in April and since then I've only used it 2-3 times tops. Today, when I finally had some free time and went to turn on the PS4, I found that the controller was no longer connecting to the console. After searching online, I was able to reset the controller and turn on the PS4. I was just starting up a game when suddenly the PS4 shut down on its own. When I tried to turn it on again, it won't turn on anymore. It just beeps (from pressing the power button) and sometimes the blue light would light up briefly before the entire console shuts down again. I've tried multiple times, but it just won't work. I double checked to see that everything was plugged in correctly. I searched online and the general consensus seems to be it's a defective unit and that I should contact Sony for a replacement. Considering that this is a brand new console that has only been turned on a couple of times, it's disappointing to now have to go through the trouble of sending it in and probably getting back a refurbished console several weeks from now. Actually, it's more than just disappointing; it's incredibly annoying.
