Ok guys so the title says i have the PS4 CUH 1216a model and ive had it about 2 weeks if that brand new out the box. When idiling or playing a game the top of the ps4 gets very hot and i mean very hot. The fan is very quiet and it seems not to be pushing much hot air out the back instead seems like the majority of the heat is staying inside the console. It is in a well ventilated space and i also have a room fan blowing cool air towards it for good measure. Now my games start to lag after about an hour of playing which i thought it was the game doing it ...black ops 3 to be precise. I noticed the metal casing under the harrd drive matte cover connects to the APU as one section so im thinking the heat is messing with my hdd in some way causing the lag/stuttering.My old ps4 i had last year didnt even get warm and you could hear the fan in the older model. Is there any known issues with this model ? thermal paste or faulty fan ? how would i go about testing if the fan is faulty ? thanks for reading!
