Hello.
I live in Irving, Texas. We had terrible thunder/lightning storms last night 4.26.16. Due to the multiple ground lightning strikes, the breakers were triggered and I believe that my PS4 is now fried. It will not turn on. I have already watched and attempted the troubleshoot from the"Before you send in your Ps4" Youtube video. I followed the instructions within the video to attempt to start my PS4 in safe mode. I was unable to do so. I do not get a screen that instructs me to plug in my controller. The video then suggested that I log on to the support system and submit a service request with my serial #. I am unable to submit my request. The site allows me to fill out my personal information, agree to the terms and conditions and then when I select submit, I get a page that says"Hmm...we are unable to process your request at this time" and it invites me click on a chat link, however the link does not appear as a hyper link for me, so I am unable to initiate a chat. I have attempted the following steps:
- Unplugged the PS4
- wait 30 seconds and attempt to start up the PS4
- hold the power button for 7 seconds, wait for it to beep, hold the power button again , wait for second beep, press and hold power button again, wait for the system to display the message for me to "plug in my controller"
- Unplugged the PS4 and plugged it into another TV. Attempted above trouble shooting steps to attempt to restart in "safe mode"
When attempting to place a service request, I was using Safari. I also attempted to submit my request using a SILK browser. Both attempts failed and would not allow me to successfully submit my Service Request.
Please email me to let me know what next steps can be taken to restore my system.
Sincerely,
Paul J. Desmarais
