I turned on my PS4 for the first time in weeks today, and after several minutes (not during gameplay) I get a warning "PS4 too hot, turn off until it cools down."
The first time I cleared the dust along it's vents with canned air, and just let it sit for a half hour and turned it back on, then the same thing happened.
Then I set up a fan to cool it down and let it go for an hour or so.
I plug it in and boot it up and the same thing happens. All that was happening is I was testing my network connection.
It's raised off the carpet and nothing is obstructing its vents. What could possibly be the issue?
